Commodores – Commodores | LP

The Commodores' 1977 self-titled album is a landmark of funk and soul, released on Motown Records at the peak of the Tuskegee band's commercial and creative powers. The record moves effortlessly between hard-driving funk and silky ballads — a duality that defined the group and made them one of the era's most versatile acts. "Brick House" remains one of the greatest funk tracks ever recorded, while "Easy" is a masterclass in slow-burn soul balladry. "Funny Feelings," "Heaven Knows," "Zoom," and "Won't You Come Dance with Me" round out a record that still sounds essential nearly five decades on. This reissue brings a classic back to vinyl.
