Car Seat Headrest – Teens of Denial | 2xLP
Car Seat Headrest's Teens of Denial is one of the defining indie rock albums of the 2010s. Released on Matador Records in 2016, Will Toledo's ambitious, maximalist record draws from classic rock, power pop, and post-punk to create something that feels both intimately personal and genuinely monumental. Across 12 tracks — many of them extended, sprawling epics — the album wrestles with depression, identity, and the aimlessness of young adulthood with wit, self-awareness, and an almost overwhelming emotional intensity. "Fill in the Blank," "Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales," "The Ballad of the Costa Concordia," and "Connect the Dots (The Saga of Frank Sinatra)" are among the standouts on a record that rewards deep listening. Pressed on double vinyl LP and includes a digital download.
