Capstan – The Mosaic | 2xLP Vinyl

Capstan’s The Mosaic brings intricate guitar work, melodic hooks, and heavy post-hardcore passages together in an expansive listening experience. Clean vocals and harsh screams play against shifting rhythms, giving the songs room to move between reflective moments and explosive releases. The contrast is central to the record’s appeal: technical detail and emotional urgency share the spotlight rather than competing for it.

The eighteen-track sequence is framed by “I. Revolve,” “II. Revise,” and “III. The Mosaic,” with songs such as “Undertow,” “Bloom,” and “Dwell” offering different entry points into its range. “Arrows” features Tobi Duncan of Trash Boat, while “Heart to Heart” brings in Belmont and Jason Tyler. This aqua-colored 2xLP edition gives the album room for a focused, extended turntable session, from its opening movement to the closing title track.
